Secondary Education

Secondary Education is a key stage within the educational continuum of SEK Los Valles International School, accompanying students from age 2 through Baccalaureate, guaranteeing a comprehensive and coherent education throughout their school career.

Students enter Secondary directly, where they continue to apply the International Baccalaureate pedagogy and develop their service as an action and Personal Project of the Middle Years Programme (MYP), which allows them to plan and manage their own learning autonomously and meaningfully. This stage strengthens essential academic, social, and emotional skills, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and autonomy within an active and reflective learning environment.

Trilingualism remains a fundamental pillar: most subjects are taught in English, ensuring that students consolidate a solid linguistic competence and can function confidently in international contexts.

Furthermore, Secondary Education incorporates technological tools and innovative methodologies, enhancing personalized learning and the development of 21st-century skills, such as problem-solving. Problem-solving, collaboration, and information management are also addressed. Emotional intelligence, teamwork, and responsibility are also promoted, fostering students with a critical, ethical, and global mindset.

The SEK Los Valles International School, with its International Baccalaureate educational program, reinforces its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development, preparing students to successfully face the challenges of the Baccalaureate and their future higher education in any context.
